Alpha Karting

Alpha Karting is a French company that manufactures and distributes go-karts and spare parts. Alpha Karting was founded by Pierre and Patrice Sabatier in 1977.

Headquartered in Alès, Gard, in the South of France, Alpha Karting imports brands such as IAME, KG, Vega, Wings, Motul, Alfano and MGS.〔 (« Historique» ), consulté le 18 mars 2013.〕 Alpha Karting is also an organizer of the race Challenge X30〔 ("Présentation", consulté le 18 mars 2013 )〕 and has contributed to its development in France.

Since 1986 Alpha Karting has been publishing an annual catalog that includes most of its products.
Alpha Karting chassis are approved by the French Federation of Motor Sports and by the International Karting Commission.
== History ==

* The first activity of the company was to import and sell British go-karts on the French territory.
* In 1982 the Alpha Karting brand was created. The first chassis has been designed and manufactured directly by the brand.
* In 1989 Alpha Karting has created the "Challenge Hexagon", which was taken by the French Federation of Motorsport under the name of "Promo Category".
* In 1991 IAME entrusts French co-import of its engines to Alpha Karting.
* In 1995, Vega moved to Alès, France and created a "Pole Innovation" with the Alpha Karting brand .
* In 1996 Alpha Karting moved to P.I.S.T. Oasis Alès. Then the rental department was created.
* In 1999, the "Pôle Mécanique" was created in Alès. Thus, Alpha Karting was able to develop its chassis.
* In 2000 Alpha Karting has created the KTCS (Kart Technology Composite System). This is a new type of rental chassis, which is patented and built on a carbon base and a fiber composite.
* In 2003 Alpha Karting moved to the new 2200-square-meter premises, built on 10 000m ² of land.
* In 2007 Alpha Karting has celebrated its 30th anniversary.
* In 2011 Alpha Karting has created a new racing department.
